Skype
Skype is an online program that is free to folks all over the globe. It is an instant messaging program. You can talk to folks overseas or even video chat for FREE! A great tool and find! We love it!

You Tube
is a social Web site that allows users to upload, view, and share video clips. It was founded in February 2005 by three early employees of PayPal. YouTube now has fifty employees and is located in San Mateo, California, USA. YouTube uses Adobe Flash to serve its content, which includes clips from films and television programs, music videos, and homemade videos.

Facebook

- an online directory that connects people through social networks. Lots of college folks use this. It gives you the choice of joining a high school community, a college community or a work community.

My Space (to go to MySpace click here)
- a website that allows folks (mostly younger folks) to make their own website free of charge. You can add friends. It is a little fancier than facebook.

Ipods
- Ipods are small computers that you can place music, videos, calendars, pictures, audio books and podcasts. They are really easy to use and really small and light weight.

PodCasts
- is the method of distributing
multimedia files, such as audio or video programs, over the Internet using syndication formats, for playback on mobile devices and personal computers.

- a great free encyclopedia. Wiki - means community. So, the encyclopedia is actually a community of folks that add definitions to it. It is a great resource but can not always be considered valid because anyone can add a "definition" to any word or term.

Blogs
- Blogs are like online journals that folks can place their thoughts on and share them. If someone says they have a blog, it is normally just thoughts and opinions open for others to read.

iTunes
iTunes is a program usually used with ipods, where you can download music and usually pay .99 a song. You can also download books on tape and podcasts.
